Totti injury boost for Roma

Roma have been handed a major boost with the news that Francesco Totti's knee injury is not as bad as first feared.

The 33-year-old scored a winning brace in Sunday's 2-1 win over Napoli in Serie A, but Roma's win was marred as their talisman skipper finished the game with a complaint to his troublesome right knee.
Totti, who was forced to go under the knife in April for ligament damage to the same knee, underwent tests at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome and the Italian marksman has been told 15-20 days rest will cure the problem.
""I was really scared. I couldn't and didn't want to stop now. The fear cancelled out the joy of the two goals and the win,"" said Totti, who has scored 16 goals this season.
""I am relishing the fact this brace allowed me to catch Batistuta
[in Serie A's all-time scoring charts]. Antonio Di Natale is still ahead of me
[in the Capocannoniere race], but I have cut the gap and hope to catch up with him soon.
""I will focus on recovering during the international break and I hope to be back to face AC Milan.""
